Kennect Technologies is a B2B SaaS startup that automates the entire lifecycle of enterprise sales incentive programs, from scheme creation and data ingestion to payout calculations and reporting. The platform serves global leaders by managing their complex, multi-geography incentive schemes and real-time payout reporting at scale.
The interesting parts are real. The confidential parts are doing their job under an NDA.
My Contribution
As one of the first four designers in a flat-structured team, I collaborated directly with the C-suite to drive critical product decisions. I built our design system from scratch, redesigned core modules, replaced complex code-heavy workflows with intuitive GUIs, and co-led a successful initiative to bridge the gap between design and engineering.

Challenges
The product was functional but structurally inconsistent—a result of rapid growth outpacing the systems needed to support it. There was no design system, components varied across modules, and ad hoc development had created maintenance challenges. Design-to-engineering handoffs were informal, leading to inconsistent implementation quality and increasing technical debt.
Rather than addressing individual screens, the priority was to establish a shared design language and scalable foundation. Only then could the product evolve consistently, reduce maintenance overhead, and support future growth.
Contributions & Achievements
Building the foundation of design system 0→1
In collaboration with two engineers, I defined a design-to-code contract covering responsive breakpoints, scaling principles, sizing conventions andresponsive units (rem, em, and viewport). Leveraging my full-stack background, I ensured these specifications were technically viable and optimized for browser implementation. On top of this foundation, we built the product’s first design system: a typography scale optimised for data dense experprise usecases, a semantic color architecture with a built-in white labelling support, and a comprehencive component library. This became a shared source of truth, reducing maintenance overhead, bringing consistency accross all modules and establishing faster and predictable collaboration.
Direct collaboration with C-Suite Leadership
With no senior design leadership, Collaboration on regular basis with the CEO, CTO, and CFO was a crutial part for product strategy, roadmap planning, and module ideation. Design decisions were evaluated not only for usability, but also for their impact on engineering effort, customer value, and business outcomes. This experience shaped my perspective on design as a strategic function—one that influences product direction alongside business and engineering, rather than simply delivering interfaces.
Bridging Design & Engineering gap
To reduce the gap between design and implementation, I co-designed and led a workshop program along with a senior engineers. Designers learned HTML and CSS fundamentals to make technically informed decisions, while developers were trained on Figma workflows, component documentation, and design specifications. The initiative established shared standards for responsive behavior, interaction patterns, and a synchronized Figma-to-code component library, leading to faster development cycles and fewer QA-stage implementation discrepancies.
Redesign the core offering - Schemes Generator
The Incentive Scheme Configuration module was the platform's core workflow, where enterprise administrators created and managed complex sales incentive programs. The existing experience relied on deeply nested navigation and a system-centric information architecture, making schemes difficult to configure, review, and update. The redesign focused on simplification, transparency, and reusability through a guided workflow with progress tracking, a centralized dashboard for managing schemes, and reusable configuration templates. Together, these changes reduced cognitive load, streamlined large-scale scheme management, and delivered a more intuitive enterprise experience.
Designed a GUI based Data Synthesizer
The Data Synthesizer addressed a critical data preparation workflow, where sales data from multiple sources had to be cleaned, transformed, and merged before incentive calculations could run. Previously, this process relied on custom Python scripts written by data scientists. I redesigned the workflow into a fully visual interface, enabling users to perform mapping, transformations, deduplication, and data merging without code. The interface emphasized clarity and error prevention by surfacing data conflicts early, translating a complex scripting process into an intuitive, reliable GUI.
